4223 Food Equity: Does It Really Matter? - A Community Based Approach

  • Tuesday, November 8, 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Program: Food and Nutrition
  • Session Format: Oral
  • Across the country, millions, including children, suffer from preventable, diet-related diseases because they lack affordable, healthy food. In an equitable food system, every family, in every zip code, has affordable access to food that promotes optimal health and well-being. This session will examine and discuss how communities are placing equity at the forefront, redefining, evaluating, and improving the food landscape in cities across the nation.
